In conjunction with Equal Pay Week 2020, Women of Toledo (WOT) with a support from various partners will be organizing the 2020 3rd Annual Women's Empowerment Summit: Raise Your Voice, to serve and engage a large, diverse group of women of all ages in Northwest Ohio.
Raise Your Voice will feature speakers and workshops that will focus on amplifying women’s personal power specifically in terms of advocacy at breaking barriers and advancing economic empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community.
There is no exact art or science to Raise Your Voice. In order to reach goals like parity, equity and equal pay, every woman must feel supported and empowered to identify and ask for what she needs: for herself, for her career, her family and community. Our voices are needed! We must use all the tools at our disposal to raise awareness and ask others to listen, understand and respect who we are and what we stand for.
Raise Your Voice will offer the following:
A keynote address educating and empowering women to use personal power to engage in advocacy and economic empowerment work in a personal, professional, social and/or political sense.
Roundtable Discussions on women’s leadership and: Economic Sustainability, Advocacy, Small Business, Corporate Balance, Intersectional Lives, Cross-Cultural Perspectives and Social Progress
Networking and relationship-building within a diverse community.
Includes Continental Breakfast & Lunch
25+ Resources for Women

RAISE YOUR VOICE: THE POWER OF YOUR IDIOSYNCRASIES
You are unique. You know it and we know it. But if that's true, why do so many of us hide our authentic selves from the world? Why do we so often push our dreams, our desires, our ideas to the side? It's time to come alive and reclaim your voice. Your TRUE Voice.
In this year's keynote, Zarinah El-Amin an anthropologist, publisher and global presenter from Detroit will share her story of RAISING HER VOICE. From abandoning a lucrative career and moving to Egypt, to creating movements around her hobbies of publishing and headwraps, Zarinah has cracked the code in paving her own way in life using her uniqueness to both feed her pockets and her soul. Her colorful life has gone against the popular grain and she's been able to now impact the lives of thousands through her businesses and projects. This year we invite you to define and activate your voice, your idiosyncrasies as your own personal super power.

At the 2019 Summit, Power for Progress, acknowledges the progress we’ve made, recognizes what we’ve yet to accomplish, and finds purpose to keep moving forward by empowering ourselves and others.
