Time & Location
About the Event
On Tuesday, March 31, you can raise a glass to hardworking (and underpaid) women around the world during “Un-Happy Hour” at Secor Ballroom, Registry Bistro Downtown Toledo.
The event, co-hosted by the Toledo Branch, American Association of University Women (AAUW) and City of Toledo HRC -Equality & Social Justice, will highlight the conversation on gender pay gap and what are we doing collectively in the City of Toledo to fill the gap.
On average, women in the U.S. are paid 20% less than men. If you break it down by race and ethnicity, the gap is even worse. Black women are paid 39% less and Latinas are paid 47% less than white men . - AAUW
Toledo Un-Happy Hour is part of a nationwide campaign to mark “Equal Pay Day,” the symbolic day up to which the average woman must work in a particular year to catch up with what her male counterpart earned the previous year. Ticket includes heavy Grazing Bar of Appetizer by Registry Bistro and 1 drink ticket. **Men are welcome to attend the but will not receive drinks tickets.
