About the event
The topic this month:
Our first meeting will be on Thursday, September 14, and co-chair, Brenda Holsey, will be speaking to us. She’s calling her talk, “Busting Myths about Human Trafficking.” Brenda says that many false narratives about human trafficking exist, often with the unfortunate result of making people believe that the scourge doesn’t - or won’t - affect them or their families. She will talk about the fact that no matter race, country of origin, place of residence, or socioeconomic status - anyone can be affected. She has long volunteered to help counter this serious issue.
Our desire is to help the women in our community to find connections, stay healthy, and develop a positive mindset about this amazing period of our lives. We all need a tribe and friendship. A tribe may be a conglomeration of people who have come into our lives for a variety of reasons.…
