About the event

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Women of Toledo (WOT) and Welcome TLC will present a virtual Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Power Hour on Monday, March 8 2021 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Our quarterly Power Hour forum helps improve our participants’ capacity to bring about economic change for themselves and others. We believe that investing in gender equality and women’s empowerment can help eradicate extreme poverty, build vibrant economies, and unlock human potential on a transformational scale.

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender balance. A Power Hour Panel has been assembled to spark dialogue on #choosetochallenge on building inclusive communities. “A challenging world is an alert world. Individually, we are all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge” – International Women’s Day.

This virtual session will start at 11:30 am with an introduction from our Program Partner, Welcome TLC. Bring your own lunch and join us virtually on Women of Toledo’s zoom space.
