I’m proud to have co-founded the L.I.F.T. 2018 – MIDWEST African American Professionals and Allies Conference taking place October 24-25, 2018 at the Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg Ohio. Its mission is to be a champion for diverse representation in executive roles by partnering with ALLIES – individuals and companies who value diversity, inclusion, and equity - through effective dialogues and stakeholder convenings that drive ideas, solutions and progress. This conference will help you grow your Leadership, Influence, Focus, Talent and Allyship. Excellent networking as well, with participants representing the corporate, not for profit, faith based, education sectors and more!
After working professionally in campaign politics, issue advocacy, higher education and a few industries in between – I believe entrepreneurship allows me to incorporate all the knowledge and strengths I’ve gained into my everyday life.
In my personal time, I am an advocate for humanity with a very special place in my heart and mind for women and girls. I enjoy lending my voice, time and talent to organizations and efforts that empower women. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and business partner Jason, our daughter, family and friends.
I often refer to “Our Deepest Fear” a poem by Marianne Williamson from the book “A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of a Course in Miracles”, when I think and talk about the power that all of us possess, but particularly women. Marianne says that most of us do not have a fear of inadequacy, rather a fear that we are powerful beyond measure. I agree.
